SDG Summit Lucknow, held from the 25th to the 27th of August 2023, emerged as a beacon of inspiration and innovation, drawing in over 450 participants eager to champion change and sustainable development. Hosted by Seth Anandram Jaipuria School, Lucknow, in collaboration with partner Gravity, the summit unfolded with a theme resonating the spirit of "Champions of Change," aiming to empower young minds to drive positive transformations in their communities.


The summit's success was underpinned by the relentless efforts of Project Heads and Summit Advisors, led by Aditya Gupta, who meticulously curated an array of engaging events and competitions aimed at fostering creativity, critical thinking, and advocacy for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The invaluable support of sponsors and partners, particularly Gravity, contributed significantly to the summit's vibrancy and impact, underscoring the collective commitment towards sustainable development and youth empowerment.

The SDG Summit Lucknow was honored to welcome an illustrious lineup of distinguished guests, led by the esteemed Mr. Priyank Rawat, a visionary entrepreneur renowned for his groundbreaking initiatives as the Founder of SoupX and a celebrated TedX Speaker. Mr. Rawat's remarkable journey and insightful contributions to the fields of entrepreneurship and social innovation served as a beacon of inspiration for the young participants, igniting their passion for driving positive change and sustainable development.

Their esteemed presence at the opening and closing ceremonies elevated the summit to new heights, infusing it with a sense of gravitas, wisdom, and optimism. Their captivating speeches, anecdotes, and words of encouragement resonated deeply with the audience, instilling a renewed sense of purpose and determination to tackle the world's most pressing challenges.

Chief Guests

The Opening Ceremony of the SDG Summit Lucknow was a grand spectacle, epitomizing the spirit of innovation and collaboration. Visionaries and changemakers from various walks of life converged to inspire and empower participants to drive positive change in their communities and beyond. Mr. Priyank Rawat, a leading figure in social entrepreneurship and innovation, delivered a captivating keynote address that ignited the spirit of innovation and activism among the audience. His insightful remarks underscored the importance of collective action and innovative thinking in addressing pressing global challenges.

The Closing Ceremony, equally poignant and memorable, served as a fitting tribute to the achievements and contributions of participants throughout the summit. Heartfelt speeches, filled with gratitude and appreciation, echoed the summit's ethos of driving positive change and making a meaningful impact. Participants were celebrated for their creativity, resilience, and dedication to advancing sustainable development goals, reaffirming their role as catalysts for change in their communities.

A diverse array of intellectually stimulating competitions unfolded over the course of the summit, providing participants with opportunities to showcase their talents and passion for social change:

Enact (Professional Speech Competition): Participants from Classes III-V took center stage to deliver compelling speeches on a range of global challenges and proposed solutions. Guided by the esteemed Mr. Sashreek Pandey, participants captivated the audience with their eloquence and vision for a better world.


Second Life Showcase (Best Out of Waste Competition): Emphasizing the principles of creativity and sustainability, students in Classes III-V unleashed their ingenuity by transforming discarded materials into innovative creations. Under the guidance of Ms. Khushi Jain, participants showcased their ability to repurpose and reimagine everyday objects for a greener future.


Poster Making Competition: Students from Classes VI-XII unleashed their artistic prowess in a visually stunning display of advocacy and creativity. Mentored by Mr. Akash Biswas, Mr. Shubhankar Das, and Mr. Sanjay Kumar, participants conveyed powerful messages on environmental and social issues through captivating artwork, inspiring viewers to take action.


Ink & Intellect: Participants in Classes VI-VIII engaged in thought-provoking essay and poetry compositions that delved into the complexities of the sustainable development goals. Guided by Mr. Madhav Rathi, participants explored diverse perspectives and innovative solutions to address pressing global challenges, demonstrating their intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills.

Shark Tank - Entrepreneurial Challenge: Classes IX-XII students embraced the spirit of entrepreneurship by pitching innovative business ideas aimed at addressing societal challenges. Inspired by the acclaimed Mr. Priyank Rawat, participants showcased their creativity, business acumen, and passion for social impact, leaving a lasting impression on judges and audience members alike.


The centerpiece of the summit, SAJS MUN 2023, brought together over 220 students from Classes VI-VIII for a transformative Model United Nations experience. Committees such as AIPPM, UNHRC, WHO, UNW, IP, and UNGA simulated real-world diplomatic negotiations, providing participants with a unique opportunity to develop their leadership, diplomacy, and negotiation skills. Guided by experienced moderators and chairs, participants engaged in lively debates and negotiations, forging consensus and seeking innovative solutions to complex global issues.


Overall, the SDG Summit Lucknow provided a platform for participants to showcase their talents, exchange ideas, and collaborate on meaningful initiatives that advance sustainable development goals. The summit served as a testament to the power of youth engagement and collective action in driving positive change, leaving a lasting impact on participants and stakeholders alike.

As the SDG Summit Lucknow neared its end, Mr. Aditya Gupta, the Summit Advisor, reflected on the past few days with pride. He admired the achievements and unity evident throughout the event. Mr. Gupta envisioned the summit's participants as future leaders, driving change locally and globally. He anticipated their initiatives would have a lasting impact on sustainable development goals. Each participant, he believed, embodied sustainability and global citizenship, inspiring positive change.
